Course Overview
Derek de Gruchy will give a 3-part presentation. The first is a slide show on growing and showing sweet peas, followed by a short video “Easter in Spain" showing the parade of floats and then a further video entitled " Berkshire Show", showing a horse driving competition, some lovely stage coaches and a look at some floral and veg. competitions.
Derek de Gruchy is well known in Jersey Horticulture as a sweet pea grower and won many prizes for his entries at The RJA&HS show. The Jersey Gardening Club meets on the third Tuesday of every month at St Lawrence Parish hall. Meetings start at 8pm, but if members, guests and visitors arrive early they can browse over the sales table, which has gardening related items which members bring along to be sold, with the funds raised going towards the club’s funds which pay for speakers, raffle prizes and other running costs.
