Junior Drama: The Art of War

Jersey Arts Centre

Course Overview

by Sun Tzu / Translated by John Miniford

Directed by Daniel Austin and Fynn Mason

After the success of our theatre-in-education piece, ‘The Great Warrior’, in 2014 and the publication of ‘100 Poems’ in 2016, Jersey Arts Centre’s Junior Drama group presents this profound piece to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

We will be reminded, in 13 chapters, of the consequences and futility of war, the skills and tactics necessary to outwit opponents and the discipline of offensives and espionage.

Sun Tzu says: “ultimate excellence lies not in winning every battle but in defeating the enemy without ever fighting.”

Suitable for 8 years +

By special arrangement with John Miniford
