Course Overview
Over the course of the next 6 weeks we will be calling on the imaginative minds of our community in this new literary project.
The concept is simple: every week we will set a title, and you will write a short story, or five, and submit them ready for us to share highlights throughout the following week! The deadline for submission each week is 4pm every Friday.
And you choose the length for your story (but do stick to the EXACT number of words!):
Micro Fiction – 100 words
Mini Fiction – 500 words
Sudden Fiction – 750 words
Flash Fiction – 1000 words
Please send your entries to: hettie@artscentre.je with the subject heading:
“Flash! Fiction! : [insert your name] [(insert number of words)]”
[And if you are 18 years old or under, do tell us how old you are, too!]
In 2021, we will highlight many of your stories in our ‘FLASH! FICTION!’ storytelling event on the stage of the Benjamin Meaker Theatre at Jersey Arts Centre.
So whether you’re 5 years old or 105, sharpen up your quill, dust off your typewriter, grab a pad and pen (or just get your laptop out!) and join this literary feast for everyone!
