Information

Founded in 1978 to encourage research into genealogies and history of Jersey families. We collate and index the contents of genealogical records, including Jersey censuses from 1841 to 1911. We publish a quarterly journal and other publications. Our research collection is housed at the Jersey Archive, with CIFHS volunteers on duty during opening hours (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). We provide help to local and visiting researchers in person and by email. Our fees are £10.00 per hour for members; £15.00 per hour for non-members. Monthly meetings held in St Helier, with a summer outing.

Our website provides details of how to join, with forms to download. Payment by PayPal available. Subscription year starts on January 1st.
