By Sun Tzu / Directed by Daniel Austin
Translated by John Minford
Suitable for 8 years +
After the success of our theatre-in-education piece, ‘The Great Warrior’, in 2014 and the publication of ‘100 Poems’ in 2016, Jersey Arts Centre presents this profound piece to conclude its work for the centenary to commemorate the end of the First World War.
We will be reminded, in 13 chapters, of the consequences of war, the skills and tactics necessary to outwit opponents and the discipline of offensives and espionage.
Sun Tzu says: ‘Ultimate excellence lies not in winning every battle but in defeating the enemy without ever fighting”.
Performed by members of Jersey Arts Centre’s Junior Drama Group, youtheatre and adult companies.
By special arrangement with John Minford and Penguin Books Ltd
