Edmund / Edgar

Jersey Arts Centre

Event Overview

A Jersey Arts Centre Residency / Jonny Liron + Jeremy Hardingham

Two actors prepare.

In a production of King Lear, they have been cast as the brothers Edmund and Edgar, sons of Gloucester. As in Shakespeare’s day, they have been given only their own parts to learn. However on the night of the performance, none of the other actors have turned up. A truly experimental and improvised performance, actors Jeremy Hardingham and Jonny Liron will meet for the first time on stage having learnt their lines but never rehearsed, and attempt to get through one of Shakespeare’s most riveting plays with none of the other actors to help them.

It could be brilliant, it could be terrible. The only way to find out is to turn up.

“…the time will bring it out”
