Event Overview

When seeing Bob Mazzer’s pictures for the first time, they immediately speak of a well-remembered time and place – 80s London and travel on the Tube. For those familiar with it, this was an exciting and enthralling place – full of noise and menace – but often humour too.

Using projection, the spoken word and the iconic sounds of the moment, ‘Going Underground’ celebrates those memories – some good, some bad, but all unforgettable – as the imagined thoughts, feelings and conversations of his subjects are brought to life, inspired by those candid and revealing photographs.
