Jersey Arts Centre

Event Overview

USA 2019 / 91 mins / Director: Sarah Menzies

What lengths would you go to in order to ride a bicycle?

‘Afghan Cycles’ follows a group of young women in Afghanistan for whom the bicycle is a symbol of freedom. They ride despite cultural barriers, limited infrastructure and even death threats, embracing the power that comes with the sport. An inspirational and eye-opening documentary about not accepting limits and how daring women around the world sometimes have to be.

Festival Ticket Price: £20 (£16 students) / Members: £17 (£13.60 students)
