Heather Morton: Traces of War on the Dunes

Jersey Library

Event Overview

Heather Morton is the author of a new book, scheduled for publication later this year, that tells the story of German soldiers and sailors imprisoned in Jersey. We are familiar with German rule during the Occupation, but this part of Jersey’s role in the First World War is less well known.

There are other stories too, of prisoners, escapes, military funerals and living on the sand dunes - behind barbed wire. Even earlier Neolithic families squeeze into the picture.

Free admission, booking essential. To reserve a place visit https://waronthedunes.eventbrite.co.uk

Jersey Library is pleased to present this event as part of the Jersey Festival of Words 2018.
