Seymour’s Seaside Picnic Exhibition

Jersey Library

Event Overview

Seymour’s Seaside Picnic is a children’s picture book being illustrated with the help of school children from throughout the Island. The book is a charming rhyming tale of friendship and the joy of living in Jersey written by local author Penny Byrne. Over 1000 entries were received for a competition to provide illustrations for the book and these are on display at the library throughout November. Jersey based illustrator and designer, Lauren Radley has skilfully interwoven the winning entries into the book’s illustration.

All proceeds from the sale of ‘Seymour’s Seaside Picnic’ will be donated to the Jersey Child Care Trust; a small, local charity making a big difference for children living with disabilities and/or challenge. By putting families first, they deliver a variety of programmes to enable all our children to have the best start.

The exhibition can be seen during library opening hours:
Monday 9:30am - 5:30pm
Tuesday 9:00am - 7:30pm
Wednesday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
Saturday 9:00am - 4:00pm
