World Book Night: Reading Hour

Various

Event Overview

Many of us would like to read more, but it can often feel tricky to find the time in a busy day to set aside for that purpose. For this reason and plenty more, Jersey Library is inviting you to join us and other readers across the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands for #ReadingHour

Between the hours of 7 and 8 pm on Thursday 23 April, Jersey Library is encouraging all islanders to set aside some special time to read, listen to an audiobook, gather the family together for a shared storytime - anything reading-related at all! You might want to read to an elderly relative over the phone, make a start on the biography you were bought for Christmas, or join them in their 'Big Read' of The Truth About Lies by Tracy Darnton, available to borrow from rbDigital (https://jersey.rbdigitalglobal.com/book/9781847159953).

How will you spend your Reading Hour for this year’s World Book Night? Jersey Library would love to hear from you. Let them know via Facebook or Twitter and you might just pass on an idea or a book recommendation to someone else!
