Event Overview
Scott Meadows is Director of Rural Economy and Head of Plant Health at the Environment Department. He will explain the measures that are in place locally and more widely across Europe to protect Jersey from the economic and environmental impacts of regulated and non-regulated pests and diseases. His talk is illustrated with historic and contemporary examples and pictures, and also includes an account of how a local resident allegedly introduced a non-native pest into Jersey which is now spreading across the UK and Europe.
